It was clear right from the opening drive that this was going to be a special game for star Ravens running back Jamal Lewis. In a season in which he eclipsed the 2000-yard rushing mark, his magnum opus came all the way back in this Week 2 matchup with the Browns. On the opening drive, he took this handoff on the second play from scrimmage up the middle for an 82-yard touchdown run, showing off speed, power, and quickness as he rumbled down the field for the score. Later, on the first play of the fourth quarter, he added another long score, this one from 63 yards out, which put him well past 200 yards on the day. After a few more carries in the fourth quarter, he set the NFL single-game rushing record with a total of 295 yards on 30 carries, a mark that would stand for four seasons. Behind his record-setting performance, the Ravens beat Cleveland in this one, 33-13, on Sept. 14, 2003.
