The days of Matthew Judon appearing on Defensive Player of the Year ballots and appearing in AFC East quarterbacks’ nightmares were a half-decade away on Oct. 23, 2016, but Baltimore’s fifth-round gem was offering glimpses long before. Determined to help the Ravens’ defense return to its glory days, Judon wasted little time, impressively using his 275-pound frame to both sprint and leap over players before eventually capturing New York’s quarterback for a first-ever NFL sack. Even given the 24-16 loss to the Jets, the afternoon would become one worth remembering for Baltimore’s new pass rusher, as Judon turned 31 snaps into a three-tackle, two-sack box score.
