Eagles rookie cornerback may have had to wait through the entire regular season before getting his first career interception in his NFL Playoffs debut two weeks prior to this NFC Championship Game between Philadelphia and Washington, but he didn't have to wait nearly as long to get a chance for his second. Late in the game with the opposing Commanders in desperation mode, Mitchell blanketed their star receiver on a deep route down the sideline, leaped up to make a play on the ball in the end zone, and ultimately came down with it as he fell to the turf. The interception gave the ball back to Philadelphia with a chance to put the game away, and was part of a big day for Mitchell that saw him tally four tackles and two total passes defended. The Eagles would ultimately come away victorious in this one, beating Washington 55-23 on Jan. 26, 2025, to advance to Super Bowl LIX.
