After the Commanders had cut the Eagles second-quarter lead to just two points in the NFC Championship Game, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia offense found themselvs ready to strike and re-extend the lead before the half. Taking care of business himself, Hurts ran straight up the middle, dodged one would-be tackler, and then headed for the front left corner of the end zone, crossing the goal line for a 10-yard score. Hurts threw for a total of 246 yards and one touchdown in this one, adding three more touchdowns on the ground with 16 rushing yards, as the Eagles beat the Commanders, 55-23, on Jan. 26, 2025, to move on to Super Bowl LIX.
