Making his triumphant return to the gridiron after a long absence, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, one of the game's best at taking advantage of "free plays" when the defense jumps offsides, did just that, heaving a downfield pass to a his long-time teammate for the 36-yard score, his first in a New York uniform. Rodgers threw for 167 yards and one touchdown in his return, looking stronger as the game went on, but the Jets fell to the 49ers, 32-19, on Sept. 9, 2024.
