Trailing by 10, and in a fourth quarter situation that many offenses overthink, the Las Vegas Raiders settled on a historically-proven strategy: get the ball to Davante Adams. Leaving Hall of Fame-caliber credentials all over the Baltimore Ravens’ field in Week 2, Adams — with receptions of 26, 30, 29, and one in the final period — proved unguardable on Sept. 15, 2024. Two receptions came during back-to-back plays, in which Adams carved out space for an in-breaking 26-yard catch and then a toe-dragging snag down the left sideline. Finishing the job with a one-yard play action score on the drive thereafter, Adams concluded with nine catches (on 12 targets) for 110 yards and a touchdown, steering a 26-23 win.
