Cowboys running back Tony Dorsett enjoyed something of a dream season after being selected with the second overall pick in the 1977 NFL Draft, putting together a campaign that would land him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors while helping lead Dallas to a Super Bowl appearance. Then, late in the first quarter of Super Bowl XII, Dorsett put an exclamation point on his memorable debut campaign, powering this fourth-down run into the end zone from three yards out to open the scoring and give the Cowboys an early lead. Dorsett would go on to tally 66 yards on the ground while adding another 11 through the air on two catches, helping the Cowboys offense in their 27-10 win over the Broncos to win the title on Jan. 15, 1978.
