Taking over after the starting quarterback had left the game, rookie Washington signal caller Jay Schroeder led a second-half comeback against the feared Giants defense of the mid-1980s. It all came together on this play, as he dropped back to pass off play action and fired a perfectly-placed rocket to the end zone, which was hauled in by his receiver for what would be the game-winning score. Schroeder threw for 221 yards and one touchdown in the game, leading Washington to a 23-21 win over the Giants on Nov. 18, 1985.
