On this day early in the 1994 NFL Season, Chargers quarterback Stan Humphries accomplished something that had only been done six times previously (and only six times since): throw a 99-yard touchdown pass. Dropping back deep into his end zone, he fired a ball deep down the middle of the field to an open man, hitting his receiver in stride around the 35-yard line. His perfect pass allowed the receiver to continue downfield without losing any speed, and he took it to the house for a 99-yard score. Humphries threw for 262 yards in this one with one touchdown, as the Chargers beat Seattle, 24-10, on Sept. 18, 1994.
