The birth of a franchise. On the very first drive in the history of the Houston Texans, quarterback David Carr and the Houston offense immediately found themselves within striking distance against their in-state rivals. The quick drive culminated with Carr firing this touchdown strike barely over a minute into the existence of the Texans, sending the new stadium into a frenzy. Carr would go on to throw for 145 yards and two scores in this one, as Houston got off to a winning start with a 19-10 victory over Dallas on Sept. 8, 2002.
