Star fullback Mike Alstott was as much of a threat out of the backfield as a receiver as he was as a straight-ahead bruiser or lead blocker in the running game. On this play, Alstott leaked out just past the offensive line after a play-action fake, caught the ball when it was tossed his way, and then turned upfield. With plenty of open field in front of him, Alstott found a lane, turned on the jets, and made his way to the end zone for a 44-yard score. Alstott had two catches for 47 yards and one score in this one, and also added 17 rushing yards, as Tampa Bay fell to the Saints, 23-20, on Dec. 1, 2002.
