Having won the starting job before the season opener, Dolphins fifth-round rookie linebacker Zach Thomas wasted no time in making an impact at the NFL level. In his NFL debut, Thomas got the first sack of his career, coming up the middle on a blitz and fighting past the opposing center to bring the quarterback down for a sack.
