The on-paper combination of Tua Tagovailoa, De’Von Achane, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Darren Waller likely had Dolphins fans daydreaming about an unstoppable, top-of-the-NFL offense; on Sept. 29, 2025’s Monday Night Football stage, the world was given a preview. “The Cheetah’s” early-drive takeover — which yielded gains of 9-yard, 11-yard, and 28-yard pickups — planted the seeds for a just-as-awe-worthy 25-yard play from Waddle before the running game offered noteworthy contributions. Oozing with enough confidence that even a 4th & Goal wasn’t worrisome, Miami’s roll-of-the-dice play went rewarded, with Tagovailoa rainbowing a back-of-the-endzone touchdown to Waller, a perfect “welcome back” in the tight end’s first game in 631 days. Ultimately, it was that type of night for Miami, who swam past the New York Jets for a 27-21 primetime win in Week 4.
