Ask any Bengals fan about their “wishlist” for 2025’s season, and somewhere towards the top, you would’ve often found one request: starting the season hot. Amidst plenty of adversity, Cincinnati had the look of a team refusing for anything less on Sept. 14, 2025. In a scenario that included everything from backup quarterbacks to multiple must-have fourth downs, Jake Browning, again, presented himself as heroic against Jacksonville, using 13-yard and 16-yard passes to Chase Brown and Ja’Marr Chase to get the wheels turning. In a déjà vu-like sequence from 2023’s “Jake Browning Game” on Monday Night Football, Cincy’s reserve became heroic, leaping over a goal-line pile for a final-minute, game-winning QB sneak. The end result: a 31-27 win over the Jaguars, and a 2-0 start to the just-beginning season.
