When everything is clicking — and defenders are literally being leapfrogged over — few shows are as must-see as the Cowboys’ high-powered offense. At home in more ways than one, Dallas turned the all-too-familiar Thanksgiving stage into a spectacle, starting with Javonte Williams’ powerful 11-yard run to open the fourth. As Kansas City’s defense learned, though, the party was only just beginning, as George Pickens sprung free on a 39-yard catch-and-run, highlighted by a full-body hurdle of their All-Pro. Exclamation arrived thereafter, as the Cowboys’ persistence paid off on Dak Prescott’s heads-up touchdown toss to Williams, sending AT&T Stadium into a celebratory rave. What ensued was a 31-28 win over the Chiefs, and the realization that Dallas had miraculously defeated both of last season’s Super Bowl finalists over a four-day span.
