Kareem Hunt’s number is often the one called during the short-yardage, finish-the-drive scenarios that keep the Chiefs’ offense on schedule, but on Monday Night Football, Kansas City’s second-timer showed that big-time, breakaway runs remain very much a part of the program. Backed far into their own end zone, the reigning AFC champions turned to Hunt for rescue, and he delivered through a physical, tackle-breaking 33-yard run, his longest since 2021. That wouldn’t be it for Hunt, who reemerged later on a five-yard touchdown tote against the Jaguars — the first of two in the fourth quarter alone. Jacksonville’s own greatness on the ground won out on Oct. 6, 2025, but even in the 31-28 defeat, Hunt was both efficient and extraordinary, recording an eight-touch, 57-yard, two-touchdown box score individually.
