In great irony, the beginning of George Pickens’ saga in Cowboys colors has gotten off to an extraordinary start for one key reason: his ability to find the end zone week-after-week. Averaging a touchdown per game over his first month-and-a-half in Dallas, Pickens emerged downfield for another in Week 5 against New York's secondary, turning a play-action deep shot into a 43-yard score. Pickens was explosive and efficient with limited touches during the 37-22 win over the Jets on Oct. 5, 2025, closing the afternoon with two snags for 57 yards — 28.5 yards per catch — and a touchdown, as Dallas climbed back to .500.
