It only took until Week 6 of his rookie season in 1999 for Champ Bailey to become a legend. In a battle with the opposing Cardinals, Washington's standout rookie cornerback picked off three passes, the first of which was returned 59 yards for his first career touchdown. On the ensuing drive, just three plays from scrimmage later, Bailey picked off his second pass of the game, settling underneath the ball and leaping up to make the interception. His third came on an overthrown deep ball a quarter later, looking more like a receiver as he made a beautiful over-the-shoulder grab. Bailey tallied six total tackles in this one as well, leading the Washington defense as they beat the Cardinals, 24-10, on Oct. 17, 1999.
