The Patriots were up by two scores in the AFC Championship Game as halftime drew near, but the opposing Steelers were deep in New England territory and threatened to cut into the lead. Patriots safety Rodney Harrison, though, had other plans. Harrison jumped in front of the receiver to pick this pass off, and immediately had big things in mind as he started thundering down the field. As he approached midfield, he started directing his blockers where to go, and showed the patience and vision to follow their lead, cutting back towards the middle of the field before crossing the goal line for the score. The 87-yard touchdown gave the Patriots a three-score cushion going into the half, and was part of a performance for Harrison that also included 11 tackles and a forced fumble. New England would ultimately beat Pittsburgh in this one, 41-27, on Jan. 23, 2005, booking their tickets to a third Super Bowl in four years.
